CHURCH LEADERS

Pastor Bud moved to Juniper Hills and started attending Hilltop Christian Ministries in 2015. He soon became an associate pastor. When Pastor Rick Whitehouse became ill in 2017, Pastor Bud began taking on more responsibilities until he became head Pastor when Pastor Rick went home to be with the Lord in 2019. Pastor Bud is originally from Dayton, Ohio. Early on in his life, he was on a Bible Team that read 3 books a year. He attended Huntington Bible college and taught extension courses at Knoxville Bible college. He was ordained in 1975. Over the years he has been active in a music ministry as well as a children’s ministry. He moved to San Diego, met his wife, Cruzana, and moved to the Antelope Valley in 1990 . He and his wife attended various churches before ending up at Grace where he was the children’s pastor. In 2012, Pastor Bud was in a serious automobile accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down for the next few years. He worked at home but the accident caused him to suffer a great financial hardship which resulted in him losing home. However, God works in mysterious ways. His hardship resulted in his renting a place from Pastor Rick Whitehouse so he was available to take over at Hilltop when Pastor Rick became sick. In addition to his work for the Lord, Pastor Bud has an interest in automotive computers on German cars. He also loves to write and is now busy working on a book in hopes to publish.

Sheila along with her late husband, Pastor Rick Whitehouse, is a founding member of Hilltop Christian Ministries. She has been a Board member since its inception in 2010. In addition, Sheila has served this ministry in many capacities, including secretary, treasurer, Sunday school teacher, event organizer, and any other area where there was a need. She and Rick moved to Juniper Hills in 1984 where they raised their two children, Caleb and Kersey. Sheila has actively participated in community events throughout the years. It has always been Sheila’s objective to serve the Lord wholeheartedly through her daily devotion, her loving and caring for her brothers and sisters, whether Christian or not, and to be a positive and godly influence for others to follow.

In addition to being a board member, Lois is also head Deacon. In the past, Lois was Treasurer for ten years. She and her husband were Youth Directors while attending Pearblossom Four Square Church. Currently, she serves as the official greeter for Hilltop Christian Ministries and opens the weekly church service with an interesting sermonette followed by an invitation for all to attend the activities occurring during the coming week. Lois grew up in Downey, CA and accepted the Lord when she was 12 years old. She married Bill Rose whose boyhood home was located on the Steelers football team’s current stadium. Bill was an avid Steeler fans for many years. Before Bill went to be with the Lord last year, he and Lois traveled 45,000 miles (Lois on the back of Bill’s trike) through the states of South Carolina, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Montana, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming & Nebraska. Lois is still associated with the Eagle Wings Motorcycle Association bike club. She has lived in the Antelope Valley for the last 35 years and been a member of Hilltop Christian Ministries for 14 years.
